Field teams capture a lot of photos — equipment readings, damage, site conditions, signed paperwork, before-and-afters. The more detail those images hold, the more useful they are back at the office. But until now, photos submitted through WebForms hit a hard ceiling at 2MB, which meant high-resolution shots from modern phones and cameras often had to be shrunk down elsewhere, or dropped entirely, before they’d go through.
That ceiling just moved. iFormBuilder WebForms now accepts images up to 10MB — and includes a built-in way to compress them on the spot, no separate software required.
Bigger Images, Built-In Compression
Two changes work together here. First, the image upload limit in WebForms increased from 2MB to 10MB, so the high-resolution photos your team already takes can go straight into a record without hitting a wall. Second, when a file is larger than you need — or you simply want to keep records lean — you can compress it right inside WebForms. Choose a compression setting, drop your image in, and WebForms shrinks the file before it’s attached. No Photoshop, no third-party resizer, no extra step outside the form.
With the larger limit and in-form compression, your team can:
- Upload images up to 10MB — five times the previous 2MB limit — directly through WebForms.
- Capture and submit high-resolution photos without resizing them somewhere else first.
- Compress any image in-form by selecting a compression setting and dropping the file in.
- Keep records lighter and submissions faster without leaving the form or installing anything.
- Cut down on failed or rejected uploads caused by oversized files.
